The second legal victory

The second legal victory

“It is true”

As I have already mentioned, on August 7, 2019, I was served with two lawsuits, with me and the publisher as defendants, by the Chief Secretary of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, Archbishop Aristarchos, and the Sacristan of the Holy Sepulchre, Archbishop Isidore.

Two days before the start of the second day of the criminal trial, on March 27, 2024, it was announced that the court rejected their lawsuits regarding the significant part it examined, which concerned the charge of defamation.

When the major criminal trial began, we knew that the plaintiffs had lost, but we did not know the reasoning behind the dismissal of their lawsuits.

We received the Decisions with the reasoning approximately one month later.

I quote the last (highly revealing) pages of one Decision, that of the lawsuit by the Sacristan, Archbishop Isidore of Hierapolis, who also revealed the secret of the Holy Fire. (The full decision here)

The repeated “it is true,” “it is true” again and again, constitute an honor and a renewed vindication.

Redemption – The Case of the Holy Fire

My name is Dimitris Alikakos. I am a journalist and currently serve as editor-in-chief of the Greek fact-checking organization “Ellinika Hoaxes.”

In April 2018, I embarked on an in-depth investigation into how the Holy Fire is lit in Jerusalem. After three journeys to the holy city, I published the results in March 2019 in my book Redemption – On the Holy Fire, where I establish that the Holy Fire is ignited by human hands.
