My name is Dimitris Alikakos. I am a journalist and currently serve as editor-in-chief of the Greek fact-checking organization “Ellinika Hoaxes.”
In April 2018, I began a major investigation into how the Holy Fire is lit in Jerusalem. After three missions to the Holy City, in March 2019 I published the findings of my investigation in a book entitled “Redemption – The Case of the Holy Fire,” in which I document that the Holy Fire is lit by human hand.
With my publisher’s permission, this website presents not only the findings of that investigation but also new, irrefutable evidence being revealed for the very first time.
I also share the full story of the legal battle with the Jerusalem Patriarchate and its officials, who tried to discredit my research as unreliable and false. The matter has now been definitively settled—I was fully vindicated in every court case.
